DEISS is once again a main sponsor of the "Hamburg räumt auf" autumn clean-up campaign.

Environmental protection in practice: for the 14th time, Hamburg-based company DEISS is to serve as the main sponsor for the "Hamburg räumt auf" city clean-up campaign – with more than 40,000 donated garbage bags.

"Hamburg räumt auf!", the largest clean-up campaign in all of Germany, had to be cancelled on account of coronavirus in March. In its place, Stadtreinigung Hamburg organised a replacement campaign running from 18 - 21 September 2020 as part of "World CleanUp Day" – and once again, DEISS was a main sponsor. For the 14th time now, the company, which is based in Hamburg-Hummelsbüttel, provided dedicated Hamburg residents with more than 40,000 garbage bags.

The specialist in garbage bags and bin liners - a member of the SUND Group - is a market leader in its sector – an old hand in the fight against littering. DEISS has been supporting this local event for several years, and thus contributes towards a cleaner Hamburg. With the Inner and Outer Alster Lakes sticking out from the city like a blue tongue, the banks of the Elbe river on its doorstep, and the city park at the green heart of the city, Hamburg has a wide range of essential ecosystems and local recreational areas to offer – and also to keep clean. All volunteers were equipped with garbage bags from DEISS' PREMIUM brand for the Action Alliance's Autumn Campaign. This year, 1,700 dedicated volunteers managed to collect more than 3.4 tonnes of waste from Hamburg's streets, beaches, and parks.
