Sustainability
Responsible use of resources and minimising the environmental impact
Plastic has many advantages; it is light-weight, versatile, long-lasting and durable - and it is an integral part of everyday life. However, using plastic in a responsible and efficient manner is critical to protecting the environment. We do this every step of the way, from the raw materials through to the products and their recycling.
The use of recycled materials and environmentally-friendly manufacturing processes are a key component of our contribution to the environment.
EcoVadis
Silver medal for sustainability in the plastic goods manufacturing category
The catalogue of criteria for the evaluation by the international rating agency EcoVadis includes not only the environment, but also labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. With the points achieved in 2021, EMIL DEISS KG now ranks among the top 4 percent of all companies evaluated in the industry.
In the area of sustainability, energy consumption and waste management were the main factors, as more and more DEISS products are made from recycled material and recyclability is already taken into account in the design. This ensures that large parts of the production are returned to the cycle.

Corporate Social Responsibility
Fair growth and responsible trade
As a growing internationally active company we also have an important social responsibility.
That is why we go further than simply meeting our legal and regulatory requirements. Equally important to us are our natural resource efficiency, minimising our impacts on the environment and carefully monitoring the working and manufacturing conditions in each step of our production and distribution chain - both in Germany and worldwide. This includes a healthy and safe working environment as well as treating each other fairly and with respect; in addition, of course, to the prohibition of child labour or any other form of inhumane activity.
Ethical and moral standards are just as integral to our corporate culture as fair play in the competitive market and full compliance with all relevant trade and antitrust regulations. Our respective guidelines are compulsory for ourselves and our suppliers; and they apply not only to the manufacture and sales of our products, but also to the purchase of raw materials, goods and services. We adhere to our own guidelines just as much as to the "GKV-Code of Conduct for the Plastics Processing Industry".
Decause we owe it to humanity and our planet.
